Protea.com is designed to keep you in touch with friends and family. Using our online system you can keep an online travel journal in the form of a web site. You can make unlimited entries and store your pages.
You can upload pictures of your travels, write your journal, and create and update your travel itinerary from any computer anywhere and in any time zone - you can of course make the pages in your journal private to just you and your friends and family - it's up to you.
Your friends and family can see where you've been and what you've done on-line, real time, and they can even leave you messages as well!!
If it's not you that's setting off travelling but your children or your friends then you'll want to make sure they get their protea.com travel site before they go ... they still need to send postcards but it'll be great to follow them on their travels!!

At Protea.com you can build yourself a web site travel journal very easily, & there’s no software to download as everything is done online.
To get started, just click the ‘Try Now’ button above. You'll choose a template, enter a title and text and you're away! There are useful hints available everywhere you go to help you build a good site, from the comprehensive help section to the ‘mouse-over’ tips that pop up when you hover your mouse over a link or text field for two seconds or more. The opening page of your journal already has text in it to get you going, which you can replace with your own of course, you just have to change the words and add your own pictures etc.
Your web site can either be the Free Travel Journal of up to 10 pages or you can upgrade to even have your own DOMAIN (although it’s not necessary) and up to 100 pages. The upgrade also has choices of further styles of templates and many colours to give your site an individual look and feel or even match your mood … you can change it every day if you wish!!
The editing of your Travel Journal is also done online through an editing tool that is very similar to word processing software – you can change fonts, colours and insert pictures and tables in the usual way – you’ll be amazed how easy it is and because you edit it yourself, you can make changes at any time of the day or night – they will be available instantly on your Travel Journal to your friends and family even before you get back from your snow boarding trip!
You won’t need to provide any personal details unless you wish to keep your free journal, and its only if you decide to upgrade that you’ll need a credit card, so don’t worry about giving it a try.
